Performing Arts Program

“Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known.”

– Oscar Wilde

The Performing Arts Education at Lacordaire Academy strives to discover, mentor, and appreciate the artistic talents of all our students.  The program is designed to help students develop creative and critical thinking skills. Students enrolled in the Lower School use Creative Dramatics/Movement and “Reader’s Theater” techniques to explore a fuller understanding of literature.  Middle and Upper School students use elements of theatre, performance technique, and their skills in fine art to conceptualize and enhance lessons in Social Studies and Literature.
