The Performing Arts Middle School program at Lacordaire Academy is designed to develop student knowledge and skills in the performing arts and in music. As part of student development, the arts contribute to the development of strong creative and critical thinking skills. Theatrical skills and techniques are developed through forensics and performance based programming.
Annually, the school holds the Shakespeare and Christmas Festivals. The 7th and 8th grades present one the Bard’s plays, such as A Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream or The Tempest, and the 5th and 6th grades perform Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol or another Christmas related performance.
