Lacordaire’s Middle and Lower Schools continued to celebrate Catholic Schools Week on Tuesday and Wednesday with a range of programming. The highlight of the week for our 7th graders was the Ring Ceremony, where they receive their class rings and recognize their time thus far at the Academy.
Students, dressed in formal attire, were presented with their class rings and celebrated their chosen class theme of “confidence.” Alex Schimmel delivered the opening remarks, while Misha Parikh addressed her classmates in the closing remarks, thanking the parents and teachers for their support.
The Ceremony was attended by several Lower School students, who then joined the 7th graders and other Middle School students for the “Board Game Bonanza.” Lower School students enjoyed board games with their Big Brothers & Big Sisters, spending quality time and building peer bonds across the Academy.
The Lower School went on to enjoy an educational session on Tibetan meditation practices with Dhruba Neupane. Students learned strategies for releasing stress and anger and the importance of focusing on the positive aspects of life. A special thank you to the Fernandez family for sponsoring the visit!
Catholic Schools Week continues tomorrow, featuring Student vs. Faculty Pictionary! The week will wrap up on Friday and all are welcome to join us for our Closing Mass at 8:15am that day.
