Lacordaire Academy is an independent Catholic school with a coed Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grade and an all-girls 9th to 12 grade.  The Academy is an equal opportunity employer.

Prior to working at Lacordaire, personnel must have Protecting God’s Children Certification and Background Check/Fingerprinting completed.  Training for Protecting God’s Children will be facilitated by the school once references are checked.

Admissions Director

Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Admissions will facilitate all aspects of the
admissions process for Pre-K through 12th grades. Duties and responsibilities include, but are
not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • Recruiting and working with prospective students and families as they move through
    the admission process
  • Devising and implementing recruitment strategies
  • Overseeing the financial aid program
  • Generating, managing and updating admission reports and projections
  • Collaborating with the Business Manager for purposes of enrollment budgeting
  • Planning and facilitating annual Open House
  • Hosting regular family tours
  • Managing the student visit program
  • Managing the student ambassador program
  • Actively visiting feeder schools and recruitment fairs
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of School

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelors degree or higher and have admission experience in a
Catholic or independent school setting. Additional qualifications include the following:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Initiative, high energy level and growth mindset
  • Ability to discuss and articulate curricular initiatives and philosophy
  • Appreciation of a small school environment
  • Comfort and familiarity with a Catholic independent school ethos
  • Ability to work across all grade levels Pre-K through 12th
  • Positive attitude and commitment to supporting colleagues
