Middle & Lower School Wrap Up Catholic Schools Week

Lacordaire’s Middle and Lower Schools celebrated the conclusion of Catholic Schools Week yesterday, wrapping up what was an incredibly eventful week for all. Following Wednesday’s celebrations, the Academy continued the fun with Sports Team Jersey Day on Thursday, which culminated in a hard-fought battle between the grades for Pictionary dominance. Not only were the students competitive, but the faculty got involved, too!

Mrs. Roche’s 8th grade homeroom came out of the student competition and won the chance to defeat the faculty & administration team…which they did! Congratulations to Mrs. Roche and the students of 8B!

Friday, the final day of Catholic Schools Week, began with our Closing Liturgy, celebrated by Father Tom of St. Cassian’s Church. The Liturgy featured student readers, cantors, and even some performances by our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students, who led the congregation in certain hymns. The day concluded with even more student performances in the annual Rising Stars Talent Show.

From singing and other musical talents to dance, comedy, and even ventriloquy, the students of our Lower and Middle Schools showed off an incredible array of talents, proving once again that the most special parts of the Lacordaire community are our students. Happy Catholic Schools Week!
