Congratulations to Lacordaire Academy’s 2017 Middle School graduates. We are so proud of you and your accomplishments. Kudos for earning over $400,000 in scholarships to the independent schools of your choice.
This year’s commencement began with the Dominican Blessing provided by Raquel Davis and James Slowinski followed by the salute to the flag with Lea Gagnon and James Gallagher. Kathryn Morrow and Charles McCann led us in song.
Head of School Brian F. Morgan delivered the welcome, followed by introductions by the Assistant Head of School, Lauren Mazzari. Commencement speaker, John Patrick Lodato ’04, shared fond memories and the deep commitment to faith inspired as a student at Lacordaire. He will begin a year-long teaching internship at St. Benedict’s Prep this July, and hopes to enter the seminary shortly after his commitment there.
Caitlin Minutillo presented the graduate pledge. Jordan Scott, Valedictorian, and Kaya Simmons, Salutatorian, shared the laughter, friendships, hard work and support that helped the class succeed at Lacordaire and will keep them close as they embark on their high school and future endeavors.
