Mirembe Fisher, of the Class of 2018, was recently honored by the Sister Rose Thering Fund for her essay responding to Sister Rose’s call to “Be an Upstander, Not a Bystander.” Mirembe was selected for her Honorable Mention from hundreds of 12th graders who submitted to the contest, and received her recognition during a special reception on the campus of Seton Hall University. Mirembe was coached in the essay contest by her Religion and Homeroom teacher, Ms. Cardino, who was able to join Mirembe for the reception at Seton Hall. Congratulations, Mirembe!
