This week, the Upper School students have been engaged in a Lacordaire tradition: Intersession. During the week following midterms, juniors work at internships off-campus while seniors complete rotations for their service capstone, Project Justice. Meanwhile, freshmen and sophomores enjoy educational and engaging sessions in one of several focus groups, which range from quilting and art projects to working in our growing “Makerspace” with 3D printing and maker circuits.
Intersession concludes with presentations to the entire Upper School by each activity group, as well as by each individual junior and senior, all of whom speak to their experience in an internship or Project Justice service opportunity.
The most visual change as a result of Intersession this year are the freshly painted bathrooms and stairway, each of which feature the hard work of Lacordaire’s Class of 2018.
Lacordaire is proud of the hard works the Lady Lions have put in this week, both on campus and off of it. Congratulations on a job well done!
