Lacordaire Academy is an independent Catholic school, sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Caldwell. The Academy has a long standing legacy of excellence in curriculum and community, serving a diverse student population of students in our coed PreK through 8 and our all girls 9th through 12th grade. Guided by our mission, we aim to develop critical and innovative thinkers who are empowered and equipped to be global citizens of strong moral character.

Math Teacher

Job description

Lacordaire Academy, a Catholic independent PreK to 12 school, is currently seeking a full-time
Math instructor for the 2024-2025 school year for our Middle and Upper School, grades 5-12.
Highly qualified candidates may also be considered for a Math Department Chair position.
Applicants must have a desire and willingness to support the mission of Lacordaire Academy.

Qualifications:
● State Department of Education Certification
● Degree in math, math education, or a related field
● Ability to effectively teach a variety of math courses, incorporate critical thinking and
problem solving strategies, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners

● Passion for mathematics and ability to apply mathematical concepts to today’s world
● Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
● Knowledge and application of best practices in instruction and classroom management

Dean of Students

Lacordaire Academy, a Catholic independent PreK to 12 school, is currently seeking a full-time
all academy Dean of Students for the 2024-2025 school year for our Lower, Middle, and Upper
School. The Dean of Students role is a 12 month administrative position.


The role of Dean of Students is to create a school environment in which all students feel
connected to and supportive of each other, and to assist them in achieving the fullest benefits
from the Academy’s programs, services, and offerings. Additionally, the Dean of Students is
responsible for overseeing the conduct of students and developing policy and procedures with
regard to discipline to ensure a positive, productive, and safe learning environment.


Qualifications:
● State Department of Education Certification (preferred, not required)
● Degree in a related field
● Relevant experience in a school setting
● Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
● Passion for working with students of varying age ranges
● Capability and drive to plan, coordinate, and implement school activities and
programming
● Strong organizational and communication skills
● Desire and willingness to support the mission of Lacordaire Academy

Computer Science Teacher

Lacordaire Academy, a Catholic independent PreK to 12 school, is currently seeking a full-time
all academy technology instructor for the 2024-2025 school year for our Lower, Middle, and
Upper School, grades PreK-12. Applicants must have a desire and willingness to support the
mission of Lacordaire Academy. Interested applicants should send resume, cover letter and

Qualifications:
● State Department of Education Certification (preferred, not required)
● Degree in computer science, technology education, or a related field
● Experience and passion for working with students of varying age ranges
● Knowledge of and ability to instruct courses in basic introductory computer and
technology skills and advanced elective offerings in grades 6-12
