Lizzie Genzale ’13, ’17 recently joined our faculty as a full-time Physical Education teacher. Miss Genzale is a Legacy alumna, meaning that she and her mom are Laco grads!
Q: What was your favorite memory from the Lower School?
A: Second grade Math class – Ms. Blicska was my teacher! She would Make math so much fun by using hands-on materials. All of my friends say that they still remember Ms. Bilicska’s math games.
Q: What about Middle School?
A: History class with Mr. Eichmann: We had History class in the Harkness room with a long table. Our class completed a project about the Civil War that has stuck with me ever since. I will always remember it.
Q: Lastly, what are some of your best memories of the Upper School?
A: Art class with Mrs. Callahan Keefe (now our Admissions Director). My class drew senior portraits, which I still have! Running Mission Bazaar is another favorite memory. I was president of the Mission Club during my Junior and Senior year(s). Mission Club will always have a special place in my heart.
Q: How does it feel to be back?
I wouldn’t want it any other way! I am excited to continue to instill Lacordaire values in my students, just as my teachers instilled those same values in me.
When you see Miss Genzale on campus, be sure to say hello!
