Suhani Kumar is Recipient of Michael Aymar Forensics Award

We are proud to announce that this year’s recipient of the Michael Aymar Forensics award is Suhani Kumar. Suhani (5th grade) is a new member of Lacordaire’s Forensics team, and she is also the youngest recipient we have ever had!

According to Mrs. Thornton and Ms. McFarlane, who oversee the Forensics program at Lacordaire, Suhani is an exemplary student who demonstrates a sense of commitment, dedication, and passion to the Forensics team while maintaining a busy schedule in and outside of school.

“Suhani enjoyed success this year both academically and during our forensic competitions, but more importantly, she was a champion for her teammates,” says Mrs. Thornton. “Suhani never appears disappointed, even when the competition is not moving in her favor. She redirects her focus to those that have made it to the next round and cheers them on.”

Suhani’s calm and supportive demeanor, along with her extraordinary work ethic and ability to remain humble, was a tremendous asset to our team throughout the year.

We are delighted that we will have Suhani  on our team for three more seasons and look forward to all she has to offer as a teammate, friend, and mentor. Congratulations Suhani!

The Michael Aymar Award is given each academic year to an outstanding member of Lacordaire’s award-winning Forensics team. The award is named after the late Michael Aymar, a beloved Laco teacher and mentor.
